On a trip to Tongchuan, a small coal mining town in Shaanxi Province, we visited some students in a technical school. As Tongchuan residents rarely have the chance to interact with foreigners, we were the center of attention. I decided to use our celebrity status to make a request for them to sing their school anthem. Standing outside the school while teenagers photographed me as if they were photographing a superstar, I listened to the school anthem once again appreciating a scene that could only happen in China.

warm all year round and I’m sick of all these snow half of the year in Canada. I want to go back to the subtropics. How the hell do I go back to my hometown?

Question by : Is Yangtze Cruise worth it?
I have choices between whether going an 8 days tour (Beijing-Xian-Shanghai) or go to an 8 day tour (Beijing-Yangtze cruise from Chongqing to Yichang)

some people say it’s doesn’t worth it and it’s better to see more Chinese attractions than staying in a ship

others say Yangtze is magical with it’s magnificent view
